The Manchester Inclusion Standard is a school self evaluation tool. Presented here are the questionnaires that form part of the process of evaluating your practice and perceptions which form a component of reaching the Manchester Inclusion Standard.
In order for schools to "know themselves" they need to engage with the views of pupils, staff and other stakeholders. The pupil questionnaires have been devised in order to seek the views of pupils in relation to their school experience. The questions are closely linked to the Aspirations in the Standard and will also support schools in evaluating themselves against the five pupil outcomes in Every Child Matters.
The evidence from these questionnaires should be verified by carrying out pupil voice activities and focus groups.
***New Inclusion Standard Questionnaires***
As part of the continual improvements and development of the Manchester Inclusion Standard, three new questionnaires have been developed for schools. A Parent questionnaire, Primary Governor and Secondary Governor questionnaires are now available to run online in the same way as existing questionnaires. Online analysis is also available for these new questionnaires.

In trials of the system we noticed that the web address that pupils had to type to start a questionnaire was long and they frequently made mistakes. To get over this problem a new web address has been created - just get them to type www.mewan.net/misq.
The old address of www.mewan.net/inclusionstandard now brings you directly to the teacher pages. From here you can start a questionnaire session by clicking the green "Run Session" button at the top of the page. |
