Information Systems on MEWAN

All staff who work for Children’s Services are subject to an enhanced CRB check which is updated every three years. This position is carefully and regularly monitored and reported to the Children’s Services Senior Management Team (CSSMT).

Schools do not need to record a disclosure number or date of CRB for any member of Children’s Services staff.

However, schools do need to ensure that procedures are in place for monitoring Children’s Services staff visiting schools, ensuring that visitors can only gain access to the school by reporting to reception, signing in and out, showing their name badges and / or photo ID.

Children’s Services staff do not need to be recorded on the school’s Single Central Record (SCR)
