Welcome to the Management Support to Schools area of MEWAN. These pages aim to make information on management and personnel support more available to schools.
Management Support is the advice and practical assistance given by the Local Authority to schools and academies in dealing with issues arising from their everyday contact with staff, pupils, parents, the local community and a range of official organisations. This includes a 365 days a year emergency response to critical incidents.
Personnel Support is the advice and practical assistance given by the Local Authority to schools and academies in relation to staff recruitment and day to day staff management.
The above services are offered as an integrated SLA to provide an ‘on demand’, all-inclusive service that is fully responsive to the individual needs of schools and academies.
We regard Headteachers and Principals as our partners. Your views and expectations are of paramount importance. The staff delivering the Service Level Agreement have substantial experience of dealing with all the different elements involved, supplemented by a detailed knowledge of the schools and academies and their individual circumstances. The service will reflect the individual needs of the schools and academies, whilst at the same time providing advice and support on the whole range of strategic and statutory matters that increasingly affect the management and operation of these establishments.
