Manchester Education Partnership has a range of strategies to support the work of schools and Teaching Assistants
1. The TA support team
We have a team within Manchester Education Partnership:
- Gill Hunter, 3-11Curriculum and Innovations Manager
- Liz Clarke, Primary Phase Senior Consultant
- Louise Carter, Consultant Teaching Assistant
- Lyndsay Young, Consultant Teaching Assistant
2. District Network Meetings / Summer Conference for Teaching Assistants
There will be one district network meeting and a conference each academic year . At present we hold the network meeting in the spring term and the conference will be held in the summer term.
- There will be three dates available for the network meeting, from which you can choose one to attend
- One Teaching Assistant Representative per school will be invited to attend;
It is the responsibility of the TA representative to disseminate the information back to the TA's in school.
The Main purpose of the Network Meetings is:
- To identify training and related needs of TA's
- To share good practice;
- To update and brief TA's on new developments and initiatives.
3. Support to individual schools
Support to individual schools will be negotiated and provided through the Primary Phase Team.
4. The Manchester TA Times
The newsletter for Teaching Assistants will be published twice a year. They will be published in the autumn and summer terms.

The website will be updated regularly.
